Mr. Harry (Hal) Plummer
Mr. Harry (Hal) Plummer brings over four decades of experience in Catholic educational leadership to his role as Headmaster at Drexel High School. His career spans from classroom teaching to high-level administrative positions, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the Catholic educational landscape. At Holy Spirit Preparatory School, he oversaw all aspects of PK-12 education, emphasizing academic excellence and character formation within a classical education framework.
Previously, as Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Hal managed 23 schools and successfully merged two into a K-12 STEM-based classical academy. His strategic leadership in the Diocese of Phoenix further showcased his ability to oversee a large network of schools, foster innovative programs, and facilitate significant collaborations with universities and non-profit organizations.
Hal’s earlier roles, including Headmaster at Ville de Marie Academy and Executive Director of the Secretariat of Catholic Education and Faith Formation in Indianapolis, highlight his expertise in strong Catholic identity, classical education and effective school administration. With advanced degrees in Educational Administration from Central Michigan University and Pastoral Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, coupled with a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Michigan, Hal is well-equipped to lead Drexel High School, ensuring a thriving academic, spiritual, and moral environment for its students.
